If you've landed on this page filled with hilarious memes, you're likely a child from the latchkey generation. You remember a time before the internet, a time when memes were just the funny lines from TV that you'd repeat at school and the comics on the back of your dad's newspaper. Instead of putting on your AirPods to listen to your favorite Spotify playlist with over 200 songs from different genres, you used to have to carefully select which full album you wanted to listen to. That, or you could spend hours crafting the perfect mixtape to put in your Walkman. If you wanted to feel the smug satisfaction of being right about something during an argument, you couldn't just pull our your phone and Google the answer. You had to go to a library to find backup evidence. 
Sure, things were not as convenient back then, but somehow, they felt easier and simpler. Perhaps Gen X is just wearing rose-colored glasses when it comes to the 70s, 80s, and 90s, but I am not really here to make that claim.
